4 simple steps
Before you start: charge your device fully before your first session, so it's ready to go when you are.
Mist the pads
Fill the spray bottle included in your box with tap water, then lightly mist the 2 round pads on the inside of the band. The water helps the gentle pulses feel smooth and comfortable on your skin.
Find the point and wrap the band
Wrap the band around your inner ankle, making sure the upper pad sits over the SP6 point, about four finger-widths above your ankle bone. It should feel secure but not too tight, with both pads lying flat against your skin. Watch the video above for more detail on finding the right spot.
Clip on the device and switch it on
Once the band is on your ankle, clip the device onto it, then hold down the M button for 2–3 seconds until it turns on.
Set your mode
Press M to change the mode (shown by the numbers around the outside of the device; see page 8 of your user manual for the options). Press + or − to adjust the intensity, starting low and increasing slowly.
You should feel a gentle, rhythmic pulsing: noticeable, but never uncomfortable or painful. It turns off by itself after 20 minutes.
Important: the band only works when it's touching your skin.
The gentle pulses come through the damp pads, so the band needs to be in contact with your skin to work. Mist the pads, wrap the band around your ankle, then clip on the device and switch it on.
Helpful tips
What should it feel like?
Most people describe a gentle, rhythmic pulsing at the ankle. Start on a low intensity and increase slowly until it feels noticeable but comfortable. It should never feel painful. If something doesn't feel right, see Troubleshooting below.
Which mode should I use in the evening?
Start on a low intensity. Modes 1, 2 and 4 tend to feel gentler for winding down, but choose whichever feels most comfortable to you.
When should I use it?
Use it for 20 minutes as part of your evening wind-down, ideally at the same time each night: phone away, band on, and a book or a cup of tea. If you drift off while wearing it, that's perfectly fine. You can also use it any other time you'd like a few calm, quiet minutes, such as while meditating, reading or taking a break.
Charging
Charge with the included USB cable. A full charge takes about 2 hours and lasts around 13 to 14 sessions. When it's fully charged and the cable is still plugged in, all 8 mode lights stay on.
Before your first use
Please read the safety information in your user manual. Don't use the band if you have a pacemaker or implanted electronic device, during pregnancy, or on broken or irritated skin.
Troubleshooting
Something not quite right? Most issues are an easy fix.
Not turning on, or showing "0"?
The band only works when it's touching your skin. Mist the 2 round pads with tap water, wrap the band around your inner ankle, clip on the device, then hold down the M button for 2–3 seconds to switch it on.
Seeing "0" on the screen? Press + to raise the intensity. If it still doesn't start, give the pads another light mist, check the band sits snugly against your skin, and make sure it's charged.
Feels prickly or sharp?
It should feel like a gentle, rhythmic pulse, never sharp. Try these:
- Re-mist the pads. Dry pads are the most common cause. Two to three sprays of tap water before each session.
- Check the placement. The upper pad should sit over SP6, the soft area just behind the shin bone, about four finger-widths above your inner ankle bone. Pads on or too close to the bone can feel sharp. The video above shows exactly where.
- Snug the band so both pads sit flat against clean, dry skin (no lotion or moisturiser).
- Lower the intensity. Start on level 1 or 2 and increase slowly. You should be able to feel it, but it should never feel uncomfortable or painful.
Can't feel anything?
Press + to raise the intensity a level at a time. Give the pads another light mist and check both pads are lying flat against your skin.
Feels too strong or uncomfortable?
Press − to lower the intensity. If discomfort continues, remove the band and stop using it, then get in touch with us.
